Premature death is the most
unpleasant reality for law enforcement officer and chaplains.
Law enforcement is a high stress profession for a variety
of reasons, and the ever present necessity of dealing with
situations surround premature deaths are significant contributing
factors to the occupational stress.
This course of instruction
is designed to be used as a tool to assist Chaplains, Ministers,
police Officers, Deputies, Priests and Pastors in understanding
procedures associated with death notifications.
Chaplaincy programs are becoming
more common throughout the country; however, there is not
yet, a lot of written material for those wishing to assist
in this area. This course is intended to offer suggested guidelines
from seasoned chaplains to help those wishing to help first
responder agencies in the process of performing death notifications.
