Chaplain Gene Rapisardi Checking In From California: It has been a true honor to be associated with Chaplain Fellowship Ministries. It was such a blessing to have the Lord lead me to you and the other chaplains serving around the world. By securing ordination and licensing through Chaplain Fellowship Ministries, I have been able to serve as the formal program chaplain of the Design for Living Recovery Services and I have performed my first wedding for an amazing Christian couple. The Holy Spirit has used my connection to Chaplain Fellowship Ministries to energize me in His service. To that end I feel it is only appropriate and responsible to provide you with a quarterly ministry log of my service. Although I serve in an independent capacity, I carry an important association with Chaplain Fellowship Ministries. The attached report will give you a good indication as to my activity as a chaplain. Chaplain Gary L. Hosfelt reporting in from Ohio: Not being one to hide my faith, the people I work with know what I stand for and the kind of person I am. Because of this I have many opportunities to witness each week right where I am. I often have coworkers come to my office and ask to talk. They ask questions about God or the Bible, and some even come to talk about personal things going on in their lives. I always try to leave them with 2 things. First and foremost I pray with them. Secondly I leave them with a message of hope. This had led to many great friendships within the workforce. I had the privilege of being asked to marry one of the ladies I work with and her fiancé. The wedding took place in the garden at COSI which is a science and industry museum in downtown Columbus, OH.

In September I was asked to marry the son of one of the nurses I work with. This young couple is very special to my heart. A year and a half ago they had a child together. This little baby got suddenly sick and ended up in the ICU at Nationwide Children\'s Hospital in Columbus where I work. I would stop by each day just to see how they were, to say a little prayer, and tell them I was here if they needed anything. Unfortunately, their son died after being hospitalized for 3 weeks. After going through all this together they ended up expecting their second child. Because of what they had went through they new they wanted to do things differently and decided to get married so the second child would be raised in a loving home with a mother and father. I was surprised the day I got the call asking me if I would consider marrying them. Of course, I agreed. The hard part was that they asked me to do a short memorial to the child that had passed during the service. It took me awhile to find the right words to say. I knew I needed to balance the memorial and also the joyful occasion of the wedding. God came through and gave me just the right words to speak. Two months before the wedding their second son was born. The wedding took place at a beautiful park under the trees, with family and friends and the new baby in attendance. It was a great day and the couple are doing very well. I have encouraged them to get involved in a church home close to where they live and I trust that they will make the right decision to do so. All in all...it's great to serve God and to allow Him to work through us as we do. I am so thankful for each and every one of my fellow Chaplains, and for CFMI. God bless you all. Senior Chaplain Gary Hosfelt

Chaplain David Ray reporting in for Southern Michigan Crisis Ministries: Here in Michigan as everywhere times are tough, just seems a little more because of the car industries and everything related to them. Our food ministry has also taken a hit from the economy in the form of more people needing help & our food agency partner being stretched thin also because of more needy people around the world. Our ministry has not only helped more people for food, when some didn't need help in that way we helped were able to help by paying for a new battery for their car to get to work. Another needed a new alternator for their car, another needed a wiper mechanism fixed and didn't have the money for repair, another with kerosene for heat and the list goes on....our ministry doesn't have a lot of finances but, God seems to always provide a way to meet our need to help others ! I've learned a lot since starting this ministry--started out just being a food ministry but crisis can come in any form & if we can help we will do so. The Lord has also led me to teaching bible study on Weds. Nights, never limit how God can use us ! God bless everyone and continue to bless others. Senior Chaplain David Ray & Chaplain LaVonna Ray

Please Note- all affiliate subordinate ministries: In 2006 we contacted all affiliate subordinate ministries and informed them they had to file a 990N if their ministries did less than 25,000 dollars for the year. Folks I can not stress it strong enough, everyone, no excuses, does have to file a 990N if your ministry brings in less than 25,000 dollars a year.
