The Honorable Mayor Doug Forman: of Jonesboro Arkansas addressed the graduates during Commencement Activities immediately following Breakfast at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. Mayor Formon shared with the Graduates that "Education is the Key" to achieving your goals.

Mayor Formon shared some of the history of Jonesboro with the students, stating, "Jonesboro was the first city in the state to have a female Senator and we have one of our main streets named for her 'Caraway'. Jonesboro is a very progressive city with lots of industry to support its citizens and surrounding towns. We are thankful that we are so blessed." He continued, "I hope that you will achieve your goals and be all that you can be in your field and specialties." Thank You. The Mayor received a standing ovation.

The Honorable Dr. Rick McDaniel: The Chancellor of Arkansas State University The Honorable Dr. Rick McDaniel with authority and poise stood before the students and faculty and began his address. His salutation included warm welcomes and thankfulness for being invited to give the Commencement Address. As he continued he challenged our students to "be faithful to your calling and ministry."

You have done the hard work, turned in the papers, taken the test, and proven yourselves worthy to be here today! Now it is time for you to show your accountability, responsibility and worth not only to your self but to those who will employ you. Congratulation to all of you." Chancellor McDaniel shared many insightful things with the students that they will remember for years and perhaps share them with their children and grandchildren.

The Honorable Chancellor of ASU, Dr. Rick McDaniel congratulated each graduate as they received their degrees.

Romans 12:1-4-8 - Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Jesus we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man’s gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully.
