Eph
3:16-18
We ask God from the wealth of his glory to give us power through
his Spirit to be strong in our inner selves, and we pray that Jesus
Christ will make his home in our hearts through faith. We pray that
we may have our roots and foundation in love, so that we, together
with all God's people, may have the power to understand how broad
and long, how high and deep, is the love of Jesus. Evil can only
prosper when good men and women choose to do nothing.
Many
of us here at Chaplain Fellowship Ministries have been given a vision
and wonderful calling to build a mighty ministry for the Glory of
God's Kingdom. We trust completely in the love of GOD to the end
of our days and will stand strong forever in our faith and knowledge
of who is really in charge of Chaplain Fellowship Ministries. We
as simple human beings always take for granted that there will be
a tomorrow. Rather than worrying about the world coming to an end
every day, we should be ready to serve others ever second of every
day. Our lives or the lives of our loved ones could be taken away
in the blink of an eye. I have seen it many times in my life: as
a young Marine serving in Vietnam, as a police officer in the streets,
and as a law enforcement chaplain holding a grieving mother in my
arms.
Just
take a little time and look around ... Domestic violence is up over
two hundred percent; armed robbery is on the rise everywhere; murder,
rape and suicide are becoming more common place; large numbers of
children are being abducted, abused and murdered; school shootings
and violence are in the news each week and natural disasters leaving
our neighbors homeless are becoming more and more common. The effect
of these crisis situations and tragedies touch our lives and the
lives of our own families, rich and poor alike ... death and sickness
can strike any of us at any moment and cause us to loose those we
love, and everything we have ever known and believed in.
These
are just a few reasons we work so hard to put chaplains in every
city, community, police department, fire department, nursing home,
hospital, active duty military, the national guard, prison, funeral
home, churches and home churches. Just like you, we see what is
going on in the world today. We know how bad chaplains are needed
in the streets working to reach those who suffer and are in need.
Simply put ... we deal with reality, in a very real world, where
tremendous pain and suffering are all around ... no matter where
we live, the need is there.
1.
Administrative Cost: Every year the cost of office supplies
and office equipment becomes more and more expensive due to ministry
growth and the rising cost of gas, office supplies and equipment.
These cost must be meet if Chaplain Fellowship Ministries is to
survive. Chaplain Fellowship Ministries has just one full time office
employee on payroll who does the work of two people. Everyone else,
including senior staff are non paid and work countless hours every
week, seven days a week, 365 days a year. We do the our best with
what we have, and always give thanks for the blessings we receive,
no matter how large or how small.
2.
The Needy: One of the major functions of any church, faith
based organizations, and ministries SHOULD be is to reach out when
we have the means and help all those who are in need. It is the
vision of Chaplain Fellowship Ministries that one day by the grace
of God we will be blessed to be able to help families who have lost
everything in a fire, disaster, sickness, or auto accident, and
women and children who are victims of domestic violence and senior
citizens who have to make a decision between medication or food
each month. Chaplain Fellowship Ministries will always do what we
can to help when people in need come to us with no where else to
turn. When they turn to God in prayer, God sends those He has called
to help in any way we can.
3.
Domestic violence shelters and training centers: Chaplain
Fellowship Ministries will help start shelters for abused women
and children. Folks, I don't know how many times over the years
I have heard people make comments regarding something and have no
idea what they are talking about. Most people that do not know any
better will say that victims of abuse don't have to live with an
abuser ...they can leave anytime they want to. No woman wants to
be abused, let alone allow their children to be abused. However,
anyone who has worked with domestic violence victims knows that
they are almost never able to leave on their own. Many of those
who have tried were found by the abuser and beat even worse, in
some cases the abusers have killed them when they found them. They
need a safe place where they and their children can go to be isolated
and protected from the abuser. Therefore, we have a vision to help
provide safe houses and training centers nationwide designed to
help abused women and children. Training centers will help abused
women to learn a new vocation in a safe environment. Many abused
women stay in abusive relationships because they have no choice;
most have no job skills which means that they can not support themselves
or their children. Right now, as you are reading this there are
women and children being beaten, and some killed, by drunks, drug
addict or men who just have a bad attitude or temper.
4.
Shelters
and counseling centers for Veterans: Americans would be amazed
at the number of veterans currently living on our streets. Some
of them a year ago were in Iraq defending our nation. Many Vietnam
veterans have died on the streets, or in prison. Many of these veterans
are disabled and have no one to help them ... no place to go. How
did this happen? There are many reasons but most people don't want
to hear about it. It helps us sleep at night to just put all the
blame on the homeless veteran. God help us!! We sure enjoy the freedoms
we have in our country. It is a disgrace that we have combat disabled
veterans living and dying in the streets. Chaplain Fellowship Ministries
will help start faith based counseling centers for combat veterans
and their families. These centers will be run by veterans themselves
who understand what the homeless vet is going through. The goal
is to help these vets learn how to live with what the trauma witnessed
and live with daily. They will be taught how to live and function
in a world that they no longer understand. Combat veterans never
will look at life or people the same way ever again, but they can
be taught by other veterans how to survive.
5.
Food Ministry and clothing for senior citizens and poor families:
Chaplain Fellowship Ministries has been blessed to be able to
help set up several food ministries across our nation that feed
families and the homeless on a regular basis every week. We are
always looking for chaplains who are serious about starting food
ministries. We will do everything possible to help them get started.
Chaplain Fellowship Ministries believes in reaching out to help
our senior citizens in our nation. Many times they have to decide
to buy medicine or food, but can not afford both. Folks; put yourself
in their shoes, and think how they must feel. We will do everything
in our power by the Grace of our Lord to help our senior citizens
in their time of need.
6.
Chaplain's relief fund: Many of our Chaplains give so much,
to so many who are in need. From time to time, even chaplains find
themselves in financial need with no where to turn. Some loose a
job, or their vehicle needs repair, their children get sick. Some
do not have what is needed just to get by at times. There are many
things that can and do go wrong. Chaplain Fellowship Ministries
will be there for our people during their time of need. Please keep
in mind Chaplains and their families are only human and experience
the same type problems everyone faces. Please keep our chaplains
in your prayers.
7.
Funds for training: Chaplain Fellowship Ministries believes
that professional chaplains must have proper training to minister
to the public. Chaplain Fellowship Ministries will provide in-house
training and off site courses to prepare our chaplains for the work
the have been called to do. We pray that one day CFMI will be able
to offer scholarships for the training programs that chaplains need
to do their work in the field.
Please
Note: Anyone who gives to any ministry has a right to know their
private information will not be sold or made public. All Ministries
and public charities must demonstrate a commitment to your privacy.
All Ministries or Public Charities should have their donor privacy
policy prominently displayed on their web site(s). Furthermore,
if the charity is a 501(c) 3, they are required by the IRS to have
their 501 (c) 3 determination letter prominently displayed for public
inspection on their web site. Chaplain Fellowship Ministries has
made a commitment to respect our members and partners' privacy.
We treat every gift with sensitivity and confidentiality. Please
view our donor privacy policy.
Folks
many people will tell you that a ministry having a 501 (c) 3 does
not mean anything. That is not true. It means that a ministry is
being held accountable for their actions. Granted, the IRS does
not tell us what to do with Gods' money when it come to His chaplaincy
and the work they do. But I can assure you the IRS does watch for
those who abuse the trust of ministry donors. Chaplain Fellowship
Ministries believes that accountability and credibility are very
important to all of us who are putting our hard earned money into
any ministry that claims to be doing the Lord's work. Chaplain Fellowship
has a CPA firm that oversees our accounting practices and all required
paper work needed for reporting to the the Internal revenue service
is thoroughly monitored. We have used BGMN (Brockway, Gersbach,
Mckinnon & Niemeier) P.C. in Temple Texas for the last three
years. In accordance with federal law, our 990's can be found posted
online with GuideStar, connecting people with nonprofit information
for the whole world to see. Chaplain Fellowship Ministries 501 (c)
3 tax exempt public charity documents are posted here.
Folks,
you can help us reach these goals. If you will commit to a monthly
donation, we will present you with an honorary membership certificate
and a certificate of appreciation. All donations from individuals,
companies, foundations or corporations are tax-deductible. All donations,
no matter how small or how large, are a wonderful blessing to this
ministry! Please keep Chaplain Fellowship Ministries and our chaplains
and families in your prayers. God Bless You, And Thank You! Chaplain
